Monday:
SPY M5

NVDA puts
RIOT puts
AMD puts

Tuesday:
SPY M5

DELL calls
GLD calls L - HA showed 2 flat topped red candles, and I still decided to jump on calls, what’s up with that?
SPY puts

Wednesday:
SPY M5

ABNB puts - held overnight, much good
BIDU puts - held overnight over 30%
UPS calls
BIDU puts L/2 - 'twas reposition from overnight position, because the daily was still weak, out that for profit, but the loss came when I exited prematurely. The thought was that since it was expiring in a few days, didn’t really want to let theta kill my profits. Hindsight, as of friday, those 128P are pretty deep ITM

Thursday:
SPY M5

COST calls
AMZN calls L - 'Twas good on the screener, but not every can be a winner, granted it did cross below VWAP + another 5 min candle confirming downward movement, today tho… woulda been pretty ITM as well…
PANW puts
T puts
BABA puts

Friday:
SPY M5

UPS calls L - kek
BIDU puts
PANW puts L - L + ratio + bozo, I mean daily shows that it was pretty weak (dem red HA tho), buuuttttt, it was above VWAP, which doesn’t really show that it was planning on moving downwards… still entered tho

All trades, except a few followed the same thing, strong/weak daily, then either a cross of MA on 5 minutes or a VWAP bounce.

Decided to get an actual trading journal, found out my win rate is decent, which simply means that I’m letting my losers run = bad, OR am overpositioning

The thing that I probably will have to work on, is determining when to average down, or up, keeping in mind to not overposition and to only do so when all the checkmarks are in place.

WR: 75%
PF: 2.45

I read somewhere that when reviewing, it is best to review your trades, as well as the trades that you have missed, specifically the ones that I saw but didn’t play.

FRC 15.5C
Appeared on daily breakout with high volume, SPY moved down while it moved up. Entered around 15.4, exited after a 40c move mainly because I didn’t see any noticeable resistance on the daily, wanted to exit before 16 (psychological barrier), also, was ITM

TSLA 155P
Was already moving down, while SPY was moving sideways. Entered a bit late, but it didn’t matter because the huge SPY drop made TSLA to drop even further. 160.56 was a noticeable bounce from 2 days ago, which was my exit. Hindsight, could have watched it to see how it reacted to that price point, because… TSLA dropped around 2 more points, which would have been more…

RIOT 10.5P
Was some chatter on TF, but the main reason I entered was because COIN was breaking down, so this would be some slower moving sympathy position.

RBLX 41P
Entered around the same time as the RIOT and COIN puts, don’t really know the reason why it was going down, but from the morning, straight down. Exit when it was close to the 200 Day MA (38.67 is what i’ve got)

COIN 56P
Popped on daily breakdown with high volume, when I entered, SPY was doing that double top sideways thing, while COIN was moving down. This time, I watched how it reacted to this important price point (55.8, which is the 100 Daily MA), and it broke through it. Exited around 54.5, when I saw that SPY was making new lows, while COIN was just going sideways. Exited RIOT at the same time.

Missed: so that I don’t forget
FRO
Popped on the daily breakout, daily chart is alright, but the biggest kicker was that when SPY dropped, it continued pushing up for another hour.

There were prolly others that I saw but that was the most memorable one because I was watching the option chain and those 17C, from the 9:35-9:40 SPY drop, were 50c and at around the 50 Day MA (the peak of the movement), were around 60-70c.

PEP C - Daily Breakout. Entered at like the top, held the entire day because it looked like it was consolidating while SPY was dropping. Was planning on holding it overnight, but EOD out for profit.
NET P - Daily Breakdown.
PANW P - Daily Breakdown.
BABA P - Daily Breakdown.
DOW P - Daily Breakdown.
All the puts ended up in profit, cut the position when it looked like its downward trend was weakening relative to SPY.
Kinda a weird day.

Now aftermarket, those puts woulda been up a lot had I held.
After cutting NET, it dropped another dollar
After cutting BABA, it dropped maybe 50c
After cutting PANW, it dropped 2 dolla
After cutting DOW, it dropped another 50c

Maybe not BABA or DOW, but NET and PANW had a whole lot of room before it stopped the downward movement (1 point or more). To me, this indicates that I prolly need to work on the exit.

TSLA P - Daily Breakdown. TSLA was already trending down in the morning while SPY was moving sideways. Watched it bounce off of 405, which was also around the time that TSLA started turning around.

SNOW C - Daily Breakout. This never came to fruition, and ended as a loss. The peak was from the morning and it never came back to retest it. Ended up having to cut it as SPY started turning around.

RBLX P - Daily Breakdown, continuation from yesterday.

SPY P - Anticipated a continuation from the morning, however, never got it, and just held the entire day. Luckily, SPY started dropping and was able to exit in profit. (Luck)

TSLA P - After that one successful TSLA position, I was like, “but i want more”. Didn’t even consider that maybe the market was turning around and that maybe a put was not a great idea. Managed to exit unscathed because of the EOD drop. (Also luck)

Very very very very lucky day today. The lowest the account got was like -25%, but managed to escape with only a 1$ loss, basically a scratch. AND the biggest drawdowns happened to the positions that I (once again) didn’t follow my rules that I placed.

First of all, traded SPY, which in itself is fine, BUT, I anticipated downward movement. Instead I should confirming the downward movement then jumping in.
Second of all, averaging down. Averaged down on the second TSLA position. Instead I should’ve just cut it if I wanted out, or hold it (not buy more) if I wanted to keep it.

Big sad

Had some CAT P from yesterday, because it breached the 200 Day MA, and in the morning it was popped on the daily breakdown, and I kept on holding it, and even averaging down on it today. Eventually decided to cut it for a big loss.

Should’ve cut CAT when it breached VWAP yesterday.

Should’ve had different positions than only just CAT.

Account is basically back to when I started, so essentially, the past month only led to break even.

You’ll get it back. Cat is just that, shit has 9 lives. However I would say the credit crunch will eventually be on the horizon which in turn will slow production. Just my opinion without looking at news fam. Charge on😉

Opened the day with a fresh mind. Looked back on my statistics, I thought about it, and my conclusion was that I simply oversized my positions (lookin at CAT).

Even with that fat loss, my WR for each play was still decently high, so I didn’t feel that I was doing anything particularly wrong, just had to keep my sizes in mind.

So, keeping position size in mind:
PACW 7.5P - W, ended up really ITM, but also, it kept on halting, which reminded me of RSX, so I was scurred and exited for 26%. (It eventually climbed all the way up to 66%, but like wat evar)
SOFI 5.5P - L, it was breaking down, climbed back up to VWAP, was rejected, but as SPY was dropping lower, it couldn’t make a lower low. Saw that discrepancy with SPY so I decided to exit.
VLY 8P - W break down
VLY 6P - L this canceld the VLY profit, so breakeven
CMA 35P - W breakdown, was jumping between 36 - 38, but really volatile, so exit.
CAT 207.5P (yes, once again) - W, saw a clear trend down, exit when I saw that it was starting to consolidate as SPY was dropping to 408.

Normally I would take a combination of both puts and calls, however, the trend in the morning was clearly down, and also my screener had no stocks breaking out, only breakdowns.

CAT kinda really really annoyed me as those 210P that I closed for a big loss, woulda been ITM today in the morn, woulda big up or at least BE. I know this is hindsight but like fuck that.

Lastly, start of a new month, so last month’s WR ended up being 78%.

Started today with the plan of playing the FOMC strangle strategy, however, I also traded normally, as to not oversize that position.

AMD 83P - L, breakdown, but it crossed over VWAP, so I exited. This woulda end up been the biggest winner had I held a little longer. Somehow managed to exit right at the top.
SBUX 107P - W, breakdown, also woulda been a big winner, but exited early.
SPX 4210C/4050P - W, had 2 positions, closed 1 for 50%, while the other I was planning on waiting till about 1. Ended up closing the last one for a loss. IV never increased pass 11 it seems…

Thinking back, should have exited those strangles when they were up, or at least set a stop. Account was over 10%, only to end up being -2%.

But if I look it individually as a play, then SPX was a success, it was just my AMD loss that was dragging everything down.

Kinda lax day today.

SHOP 59C - W
MOS 40P - W
GTLB 29P - W
MOS 40P (another one) - W

Daily breakouts/breakdowns. Waited for VWAP pullback, except for SHOP, which I just jumped in.
SPY kinda just moved sideways the whole day, so it was pretty easy to find the stocks that had strength/weakness vs. a stock that was just barely following SPY.

Missed SNOW and ADBE. Was waiting for a VWAP pullback or something but I guess I just missed it.

Confidence is increasing, maybe.

Played some OXY and META puts, and SHOP and NFLX calls.
OXY 60p - W
META 225p - L
SHOP 65c - W
NFLX 340c - W

3/4 of the plays had a daily breakout/down
META didn’t. META was also the only one that was a loss.
Played SHOP again, small dub cuz I would enter late and exit before the full move is exhausted.

Last week friday, played SHOP and SBUX calls, can’t really remember the reasoning, but I assume it was just daily breakouts. Last week ended up with an 81% WR, which is slowly bringing up my 3 month average WR.
