As promised, the roles have been reworked. This is the whole system in one place so nobody has to scroll TF for it.
These roles will be live next week. There will be bugs, there will be adjustments to the rules, this is just a starting point.
The short version: roles are no longer about how much money you made, that singular call you got right or how like you are (well not the last one). They’re about whether you’re right and what you do about it when you’re not.
Why
I built this system to get people concentrating on what is real. Heimdall gives you the signal with cited evidence, projections even just the arcs themselves and all of that so you can think out a trade. The work is vetting the evidence, making sure the claims hold up and figuring out if it’s actually meaningful for the stock. The trade is the last step, not the first one. Heimdall does this without hopium, without drawing lines all over charts and without theories about options volume, and the roles are now built to reward the people who do the same.
This system is designed to push back against the things that cause people to consistently lose in trades. They promote cutting losses, thinking out trades and not getting emotionally invested in them.
I don’t care about your trading performance. You can be dead right on a callout and still lose money. And the second dollars are the metric, the biggest accounts win, and the P&L screenshot bullshit is back. This system scores your call and whether you had the discipline to get out whether it was green or red. A $600 account can outrank a $60K account.
Rules for every earned role
- Rolling 30 days. Recalculated every night after midnight. Nothing is permanent except Hall of Fame.
- Fixed bar, no rank. You’re not competing with anyone. Everyone in the server can hold Legend at once. There is no leaderboard.
- Computed, never claimed. No screenshots, no applications, no tickets. The bot reads the ledger and assigns.
- Only Bifrost counts. Arc stances, arc comments, position callouts, watches. Discord messages count for nothing towards the ladder.
- Promotions get announced in TF. Demotions don’t. If you’re three days from losing a role the bot DMs you to let you know.
- Friday after close the bot posts an announcement. Names by tier and this week’s Harbingers with the call they made.
How reads work
Every Heimdall arc gets three buttons next to the comment box: Confirm, Contradict, Unclear. Pick one, leave a comment, that’s a read.
- Confirm — Heimdall’s right and the arc plays out.
- Contradict — Heimdall’s wrong. Be right about this and it’s a Harbinger call, the most valuable thing anyone can do on the platform. It’s also literally how Heimdall gets better.
- Unclear — counts as showing up, never counts towards precision.
The only stance that gets scored is the one you’re holding when the arc resolves, and it has to have been set at least one full trading session beforehand. That means changing your mind when new information comes out is free, and holding the wrong stance is the only thing that costs you. Flipping after the market already proved it doesn’t count for shit. Admit it before the market makes you.
Read precision is your Confirms that played out plus your Contradicts that got invalidated, over everything you’ve had resolve. Arcs that expire flat aren’t scored either way.
The bar is Heimdall’s own hit rate for the same window. If you hit Confirm on everything you score exactly what the bot does on its own and you get nothing for it
Holding a read role literally means you’re a better filter than the machine by itself.
How trades count
Trades sit underneath reads. A vetted entry is a position callout on an arc where your stance or comment was on the arc before you entered. A bare callout with no read behind it counts towards nothing. Read first, then trade.
- Hit / miss is the underlying moving in the direction you called between your entry and exit callouts. Options are scored on the underlying. We’re scoring the pick, not your fill.
- Inside ±1% is flat. Not a hit, not a miss, nothing. So you can’t pad your hit rate scalping millisecond candles.
- Open when the arc dies is a miss. If your arc invalidates against you while you’re still in, that’s scored as a miss right there. You can’t avoid a loss by not closing.
- Discipline gate (Champions and up): the average size of your misses on the underlying has to be 3% or under. One −15% hold-and-hope fails the gate for 30 days no matter what your hit rate is.
The Ladder
Five tiers and each one includes everything under it.
| Role | Requirement (rolling 30d) | What it means | Lose it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Member | You’re in | New crest, same door. Everything starts from here. | — |
| Vanguard | Bifrost activity in 3 of the last 4 weeks | You show up. Every week, not three days in a row and then gone. If you don’t have Vanguard the rest of the ladder can’t see you. | Go quiet for 2 of the 4 |
| Heroes | Vanguard + 10 resolved reads with precision above Heimdall’s own hit rate | You’re right more often than the machine is alone. You never have to place a trade to make Hero. Heroes has always meant the people who are right, and right now means the read. | Precision falls to Heimdall’s rate or under |
| Champions | Heroes + 5 closed vetted entries, 65%+ hit rate, misses averaging 3% or less | You put money on what you read and you cut it when you’re wrong. The trade is the proof the read was real. | One hold-and-hope blows the gate for 30 days |
| Legends | Champions + 20 resolved reads, 10 vetted entries, 15 counted replies, 1 Harbinger call | The whole job. Right, funded, teaching, and early at least once. You cannot get here trading alone. | Lapse and you go to Fallen Legends |
| Fallen Legends | Made Legend once, doesn’t meet it right now | Not a demotion. The record that you did it. Earn it back and the bot posts X has ascended in TF. | — |
Badges
Four roles that sit next to the ladder instead of on it. Binary, same rolling 30 days, and you can hold any of them at Member. None of these care whether you were right except Harbingers. The ladder pays for being right. These pay for doing the work whether or not it paid off.
| Role | Requirement (rolling 30d) | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
| Harbingers | 2+ Harbinger calls and at least half of your early calls landed | Ahead of Heimdall, or against Heimdall and right. A Harbinger call is any of: the first stance on an arc that resolved your way, a watch on a ticker Heimdall had nothing on that it then emitted on within 5 days, or a Contradict on an arc that got invalidated. The precision gate is there so you can’t watch everything and hope. |
| Scouts | 15+ cold reads | A cold read is a stance plus a real comment on an arc with no live signal when you read it. Unclear counts. Wrong counts. This is the on-ramp: go read the boring ones before Heimdall tells you to. Until now the system paid nothing for that, which was backwards, because that’s where the edge is. If the arc emits later and resolves your way, that same read also counts for Heroes. |
| Scribes | 8+ write-ups | A write-up is an arc comment that’s either 280+ characters or has a link/citation in it. Any arc, yours or not, one per arc per day. No likes required. Research shouldn’t need an audience to count. |
| Mentors | 12+ counted replies on other members’ arcs | You answer people. A counted reply is on somebody else’s arc and got a like or a reply back, max 3 per arc per day, so “nice” ×10 earns nothing. The bot pings @Mentors when a member’s arc has sat with no reply for 30 minutes. No trading required. |
Honors
Two good ones for a change.
| Role | Requirement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Play of the Day | The round trip opened and closed today with the biggest move on the underlying in your direction, entry to exit. Has to clear the 1% floor or nobody gets it. | One person, one day. Somebody takes it tomorrow. Dibbles pitched Callout of the Day in 2022 and it never happened. It’s happening now. |
| Hall of Fame | 25 Harbinger calls, lifetime | Permanent. The only role in the system that can’t be taken away from you. |
Identity
| Role | Who |
|---|---|
| Gods/Watchers | These roles remain unchanged at the moment. |
| Demigods | Mods. New icon, same people, again for now. Not looking at these things until the rest of the system is up. |
| Valkyries | The ladies of Valhalla. |
| OG | Unchanged. |
The Enforcement Arm
Every one of these is something the ladder already punishes you for. We’re just making it visible. The bot hands them out from the ledger, nobody votes, nobody argues, and the way out of every single one is the same: stop doing the thing. Hold two at once and you get the Double Dunce Cap. Three and it’s the Triple ![]()
| Role | Trigger | What it’s actually catching | Comes off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bag Holder | Still in a position after its arc invalidated | The ledger already scored that a miss. Staying in past that isn’t a trade anymore, it’s a hope. | Close it |
| Married to the Play | 30+ days red and still holding | The discipline gate is 3%. This is the exact opposite of the discipline gate. | Close it, then you’re Divorced for 7 days |
| Divorced | Closed out a Married position | Seven days to grieve. Also a cooldown so you don’t go straight back in. | 7 days |
| Hopium Dealer | Most Confirms on arcs that went on to invalidate, 30d. One holder. | The most confident wrong person in the building. | Somebody out-hopes you |
| The Inverse | Read precision under 35% on 10+ resolved reads | Far enough under the bot that fading you is information. If this guy Confirms something, you now know something. | Get back over 35% |
| Heimdall’s Yes-Man | 15+ Confirms, zero Contradicts | You scored exactly the base rate, which means you weren’t reading, you were clicking. This is why hitting Confirm on everything can never make Hero. | Disagree with the bot once |
| You Tried | 10+ resolved reads, used both buttons, precision still at or under Heimdall’s | You did the work and landed exactly where clicking Confirm would have. Labubs suggested this one in 2022. | Beat the bot |
| Nothing Burger | Most Confirms on arcs that expired flat, 30d. One holder. | Flat arcs don’t count against your precision, so this is the only place it shows. Every arc you liked went sideways. | Somebody out-nothings you |
| Pied Piper | First Confirm on an arc, 3+ members entered after you, it invalidated | You’re not wearing this for being wrong. You’re wearing it for being wrong with a crowd behind you. Early, loud, wrong, followed. | 30 days |
| Exit Liquidity | Last member in on an arc before it reversed | Everybody who got in before you was selling to you. | 30 days |
| Catching Knives | Entered a ticker whose arc invalidated 24h+ ago with no new arc on it | The thesis is dead and there isn’t a new one. You bought the dip on nothing. Bag Holder was already in, Exit Liquidity was last in before the turn, this is in after the funeral. | 30 days |
| Dom Top | Bought within 1% of the top, the highest high of the next 5 sessions, and it went red | You called the top by buying it. | 30 days |
| Power Bottom | Sold within 1% of the bottom, the lowest low of the next 5 sessions, and it ran 10%+ inside that window | You found the exact bottom and handed it to somebody else. | 30 days |
| Paper Hands | 3+ flat exits where the stock then closed 2%+ further your way that same session, 30d | Flat is the normal result of a scalp, so flat alone is nothing. Flat and then it went exactly where you said, that same afternoon, three times in a month: you’re bailing before the read has a chance. That’s not trading, it’s scared. | 30 days |
| Missed Generational Wealth | Closed a vetted position and the ticker ran another 15%+ your way within 5 sessions | You get the hit. You also get the hat. The read was right and you didn’t trust it. | 30 days |
| Revenge Trader | Back in the same ticker within 24h of a miss with no new read | The miss means the read was wrong. Going straight back in without a new one isn’t a thesis, it’s a grudge. Take a day. | 30 days |
| YOLO Addict | 5+ entries with no arc behind them, 30d | Unvetted entries already count towards nothing. This is the hat for doing it anyway. | Read first, then trade |
| Never Red | 10+ closed positions and not one miss, 30d | Nobody trades a month without a loss, and an open loser at invalidation is scored a miss, so the only way to get here is you’re not logging the losers. P&L screenshots, ledger edition. | Log one exit honestly |
| Chart Goblin | 50+ charts pulled, zero stances, 30d | Uses everything, contributes nothing. | Post one stance |
| Gangbang | 4+ members entered the same ticker, same direction, within an hour | Group role. All of you get it, 48 hours. Not a punishment. Just accurate. | 48h |
| Definitely Has a Job | Bifrost activity during market hours every trading day this month | We see you. So does your employer, probably. | Miss a day |
| After After Hours | 20+ TF messages between midnight and 5AM ET, 30d | Sibling of Definitely Has a Job. | Go to bed |
| Double / Triple Dunce Cap | Two / three of the above at once | At three the ladder can’t help you. | Drop to one |
Watcher-Assigned
No ledger, no formula. Handed out by the Watchers, and they take them back when they get bored of you. As with all jokes, they eventually get old.
- The Dunce Cap — Given to the town dumbass so everyone knows they’re a moron. Frequent duncing can still lead to removal.
- Reformed — Given to anyone who wore a hat from the section above, did the work, and made Hero. The only Watcher role that’s a compliment.
- Stage Hook — Given to whoever’s droning on. Comes with Slow Mode for a minute. One at a time.
- Yapper — Stage Hook is a moment. Yapper is a pattern.
- Crayon Eater — Draws lines all over charts and calls it analysis.
- Options Flow Astrologer — Has a theory about unusual options volume. Every time.
- Trust Me Bro — Cites nothing, ever.
- Financial Advisor — Gives advice constantly. Holds The Inverse.
- Wife’s Boyfriend — Given to the one guy the rest of the room asks permission from before they take a trade. Everybody else in here is the husband.
- Touch Grass — Given to members who need to go outside. The market will still be here Monday.
- Guest Speaker — Shows up once a quarter with one massive take, then leaves.
- Dick — Given to whoever’s being a dick. One at a time.
- Asshole — One tier above Dick.
- Emo — Given to members who can’t take a loss gracefully. Or a win, somehow.
- Simp / Zero Bitches — Same Simp, new art. Zero Bitches is the other side of it.
- Village Idiot — A dunce is a moment. This is a lifestyle.
- Tinfoil Hat / Conspiracy Theorist — It’s all connected. The MMs, the Fed, the halt.
- Permabear — It’s going to zero. Has been saying so since 2021. Manual only. This is a hat, not a credibility score.
- Karen — Would like to speak to the Allfather. For complaints about the roles, specifically.
- Main Character / NPC — The server is the backdrop for your story. Or you have the same three lines every day. Both bad.
