Trading Rules

Back in Reloaded I said the training wheels were coming off. We had spent so much time trying to stop people from trading irresponsibly that we’d started stopping them from trading at all, and the mod team was burning out moderating risk instead of finding trades. That’s still true and none of it changes today. If you want to sink your life savings in TSLA FDs, that’s on you. Nothing below tells you what you can trade.

What it tells you is whether or not we want to hear about it and what gets you removed from the community.

I said this on VC night and I’ll say it here: when we were on, we were good. The second we were off, we wandered. SPY scalps, “I’m up 40%” on something nobody has a thread on, one guy on a streak and forty people following him into the next one. Every drift this community has ever had started the same way. I spent a year and a half building Heimdall so there would always be something to be on about, and it’s working. The collaboration we need isn’t someone calling a play and everyone piling in; those usually lose. It’s people finding something and working on it. TF culture is a part of the profitability problem.

So: trade whatever you want. TF is for arcs & Heimdall, just like when you had to “post a catalyst” in order to trade, now you need a comment and a reason in Bifrost.

The Rules

1. No comment on the arc, no callout on TF.
Callouts on TF are for tickers with an arc you have contributed to (made a meaningful comment on). You can still log any position you want in the positions system (your P&L stays honest), but if there’s no contribution it will not notify TF and you don’t talk about it on TF.

2. Index and 0DTE trades need a catalyst.
SPY, SPX, QQQ, IWM, DIA, VIX, leveraged ETFs, and anything that expires today. These get a callout only when a live arc covers the move (a cluster for index products) and your comment is on it first. When I built Heimdall I turned our entire history into a dataset, and every recorded SPX trade we have, in chat and in the positions system, nets red. I’m not banning it, because there are days it’s the right vehicle: FOMC, a war ending, an economic print we’ve researched that will surprise the market. Those days have an arc and a discussion. A random Tuesday at 10:15AM doesn’t.

3. Heimdall invalidates and you’re still holding? Say why.
If you confirmed an arc or called out a position on it and Heimdall invalidates against you and you’re not cutting, you need to explicitly give the reason why.

4. Post gains with the callout or don’t post them.
Your exit callout is where gains go and you can talk about it all you want. A “+40%” with no position behind it, or a P&L screenshot, gets deleted.

5. Keep your size to yourself.
Callouts show direction, strike, expiry, cost basis and fill. Contract count and dollars stay in the positions system. “8 contracts” means nothing without the account behind it, and a new member reads it as normal. All size related discussions should be in relation to the total percentage of your account.

6. Warn people off, don’t dunk on them.
Telling someone not to chase, reminding to take profit, contradicting the thesis on the arc: always allowed, always was. Dunking on a call in TF without putting your own read on the arc is a Dunce Cap. Be right on the arc, not loud in chat.

7. If you have to say “don’t follow,” don’t post it.
If you need to tell people not to follow, you probably shouldn’t be taking the trade to begin with.

8. Don’t take Heimdall outside the server.
No arcs, signals, callouts or screenshots leave the server, and don’t run the signals or projections through an outside AI. No recruiting for other rooms. Same rule as 2022: internal stuff stays internal. This one isn’t a strike. It’s removal.

9. Don’t bring outside calls in.
I don’t care what your favorite YouTube analyst, newsletter or some guy on instagram is saying. I don’t care what a Discord you are a member of has called out. Valhalla is about gains and if you want those, then your focus should be here. If you’re looking for the reason; If you map out every one of my challenge trades my overall record was 87-18 or 82.8% win rate in front of a server, with my brokerage account connected directly to it. You won’t find that elsewhere and that trading style is exactly what I built Bifrost to emulate.

Clarifications

  1. Fading Heimdall is encouraged. A contradict stance posted before your entry is a read. Trade against the bot all day; be right and you’re a Harbinger. Agree with everything and you’re Heimdall’s Yes Man. The rule is that you said something first, not that you agreed. The bot isn’t tuned for win rate, it’s tuned to surface asymmetric opportunity.
  2. Scalping is fine. On an arc, with a read, narrate it tick by tick if you want. That’s always been the heart of this place. What’s gone is narrating a position that isn’t in the positions system on something you’ve given no reason for past some bullshit you spat out on TF.
  3. Silent positions don’t count. For your P&L, yes. For roles, no. Arc-linked or it didn’t happen.
  4. These will get tuned. Same as the roles, things might be adjusted but these rules are here to keep people profitable. If your trading style is “outlawed” and want to argue against them, beat my challenge win rate and then we’ll talk. Below 82.8% and you should be learning Heimdall and contributing to arcs with the rest of us.

Enforcement

These will be a combination of bot enforced alongside role voting. Punishments will include removal from the community.

To be clear, I’m building a community that will retire people and if your behavior goes against that you will no longer be a member.

When

These rules will be enforced starting Monday.

More soon. :pepepray:
