I’m finally back in the game, feels good after a long drought.

I’ll look for SPY 513 to exit (2% increase)

Do you look to average down at any point or just position and wait/read the signals as they update?
I almost did not understand you catalyst for that kind of move - but then I saw it was MAY 17 so 30 days out. Had me doing a doube take <@804151543136780289> until I realized my mistake ![]()
I will average down if I see 30-40% losses or greater, depending on the then-current data projections
I’ve had the most success averaging down at 50% losses or more. But I’ve always sold a good bit for just above be, which was always a mistake
This is why I prefer to wait before entering. I have it on the watchlist from yesterday and will see how it goes today. There were times that I never got the chance to enter because it just kept running lol
We@could get this week actually if no Israel news and crap. <:pepepray:930324508018106448>
That would be great!
<@804151543136780289> Any new signal after this? I want to average down on my calls, i just want to see if i should wait a little bit
The return group moved to a 4,2 Downtrend today. Perfect opportunity to sell SPX Puts 30 days out at a strike 2% lower than the current price. 84% win rate with over 600 data points. There is also a 72% likelihood SPY increases 2% over the next 30 days so I’ll be adding a SPY Call 494 strike with May 24 exp. Lastly, I’ll be averaging down on my previous SPY Call which is down 50% currently.

Here is my port with trades added a few moments ago
I averaged down on my original today at 50% down. I remember the last time this happened and I freaked out and sold 90% of my position at slightly above BE. If held 2 days longer would have made 6k more. Thanks for the update Brutus
<@804151543136780289> would you look to take profit on your position taken at 495 around here? This is 2% above that price. Or do you hold for something closer to 510-513 based on when the signal first indicated?
It’s best to take profit once you hit 2% on the underlying because the signal is for that specific date and exp. The previous signal could be one of the other 29% (the losers) so holding till 513 is risky. I haven’t decided what I’ll do yet, but I’m up 49% on the 495s. I can’t be mad at that return, even if it continues to rise.
Here is my acct as of today. The SPX puts are looking great, already at 50%. I’m looking for 65-80% to close those. The first SPY call is back into green after averaging down. The second SPY call is nearing 50% and the underlying is sitting right at 2% increase so I should sell that one now. I’m tempted to hold it a bit longer.
