Nexus is the record. Every document, filing and print that hit the system, in one stream, filterable by what matters, newest first. SEC filings, the newswires, the FDA, macro prints. The Calendar faces forward; Nexus faces back. If it’s already happened, it’s here.
What’s In It
SEC filings. Every form EDGAR publishes, bucketed: 8-K, 6-K, Form 4, 3/5, 144, 13D/G, S-1/424B, Form D, 13F, tender offers, proxies, 10-K, 10-Q, NT, and the long tail. Where Bifrost has an extractor for the form, the row carries what it found.
Newswires. All Large Newswires. Rendered as an editorial row: a kicker for the category, the headline, a lead, a link to the source. Quieter on purpose. Higher volume, lower signal, and the row is styled to match.
Regulatory. FDA approvals, press releases, recalls. Their own toggle because one FDA approval outweighs a hundred press releases and you’ll sometimes want the regulator without the firehose.
Macro. The releases from the Calendar, once they’ve printed: prior, forecast, consensus, actual, and the delta against consensus.
How It’s Filtered
Every filter is a control, and the defaults are an opinion.
Impact. Four dots: Critical, High, Medium, Low. Low is off by default. That’s the single biggest decision on the page, and it’s the reason it opens readable. Turn it on when you’re hunting for something specific; leave it off when you’re reading.
Sources. The four kinds above, each on or off.
Window. 24h, 3d, 7d, 30d. Seven is the default.
Forms. Only the forms that have data in the window you’re looking at. A form pill you can select that returns nothing is a lie.
Search. The one control that breaks the rules. Browse loads a window; search clears it and matches the whole database, back to the beginning. That’s deliberate. Most of what’s ever been ingested is outside any window you’d browse, and a search box that can only see the last week reads as broken rather than empty.
Reset puts the defaults back. Load older at the bottom pages back within the window.
How To Use It
Read it at the defaults first. Medium and up, seven days, every source. That’s the page as designed. Only open Low when you know what you’re looking for.
Use the tiers as a dial, not a switch. Critical alone is the day’s short list. Critical and High is the morning read. Add Medium when you have time.
Search the corpus, not the week. If you’re looking for a company, a phrase, a drug name, type it. The window disappears and you get everything, oldest included.
Read the quote, not the type. The extraction tags are a sort key. The quote is what the filing actually says.
Forms is a research tool. Filter to 13D/G and you have every activist stake in the window. Filter to 144 and you have every planned insider sale. Filter to NT and you have every late filer.
What It Isn’t
It’s not a watchlist, and it doesn’t know what you hold. Nexus is the same stream for everyone. If you want it aimed at a name, the Newswire and Filings panes in the Workspace are this data, following your focus.
Nexus was one of the first views created in Bifrost since ingestion was one of the first layers created. Post launch it will be updated to bring it more in-line with the rest of the platform.
