Actually, it could be IBM.
Intel!
I was coming in to say LDOS but as that is taken and IBM many times over I will flail and say
GE
Going with ABBV here
Apple
definitely think it’s IBM
Microsoft
My bet’s on Verizon:
- Third highest corporate debt
- 30th in market cap in the US, in the top 1%
- Supply chain issues, particularly around 5G
- Has acquired a whole host of companies which used to sell all kinds of stuff for 1M+, I’m sure
- Same set of companies houses an almost infinite number of “executives” who went on to become a CEO that got on Spruce Point’s wrong side
- VZ’s share price has held up surprisingly well, all things considered
- They did turn things around about a decade ago with fiber, ahead of their competitors
- Decent amount of insider selling, but almost no buying
Other options were AT&T and IBM, but their share prices are meh and they are every junior analyst’s favorite stock to trash. SP is looking for something off the beaten path.
It’s NI, for obvious reasons
AMGN
that scholl angle
I agree with Geek. I’m so proud and hope we’re both wrong ![]()
They published a report on LDOS on February 16th, 2021.
I think the answer is already posted above with IBM, Cisco, Intel or Microsoft.
I will go with Tesla.
This whole thread has become full of valuable information on companies that should be being shorted with reasons as to why. Most notable being Verizon and IBM. If anybody is into something here and wants to go into further details on why something is worth shorting make a thread about it.
IBM - Watson is way overpriced and a lot offshelf AI tools do the same for free.
Sprint - Can you hear me now?
I’m going with CMG. This was a fun guessing game.
My secondary guess is Ubiquiti but I can’t for the life of me figure out what they offer that other companies would be giving away for free.
Final answer: CMG
Going to go with WFC for shits n giggles given 100b value, ath recently etc
Never heard of it…
Well I guess the gift card rolls over to the next contest!
